Bill Tennant is a ten year resident of Dearborn and has lived in the area his entire life. Bill has over fifteen years experience in local and state government and most recently as Associate Director of Program with the Mental Health Association in Michigan. Bill has also served as a member of the statewide coalitions such as the Michigan Long Term Care Coalition and the Michigan Suicide Prevention Coalition.
Bill has a Master of Public Administration Degree from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
Bill resides with his wife, Carla and daughter Amelia. Carla is a Special Education teacher with the Dearborn School District.
Bill believes that more attention needs to be brought to bear with those living with mental illness and advocates the elimination of prejudice and discrimination against persons challenged by the persistant stigma of mental illness.
