John Bradford McFarlin is 51 years old, a life long Dearborn resident, and "totally deaf...." Not hard of hearing, not hearing impaired--just deaf.
Years before the ADA laws, John attended Stout Jr High School, Edsel Ford High School, and then attended college at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. After obtaining his A.A.S. degree, he served as a free lance photographer at the Dearborn Press and Guide, as well as innumerous sports and music based magazines. He was hired by Ford Motor Company in 1977 and has been there ever since. Currently he is the Photomedia Lab Senior.
Mr. McFarlin is married to Arcelie and has a young son Matthew.
Johns' belief is that "everybody is born equal and if they come up short, the Commission is here to provide a stool for them to stand on."
His long term goal is to retire from Ford and serve as an active advocate, helping others get what they need to achieve everything they have coming in life. He also wants to become more involved with the Humane Society.thContact John via
